The Berliner Long Spade is a full size rounded digging spade, made for digging holes and heavy work. The ergonomically curved handle is designed for efficiency and comfort when digging and lifting material. The Berliner's slightly rounded cutting edge works well in loose, medium, and compact soils. 

The lacquered handle finish will protect the wood against the elements and moisture, and from drying out over time. The powder coated finish on the head will protect against rust, and gives this product line a uniform appearance.
